Texas Hold'Em Poker

Ultimate Texas Hold’em is a variation of traditional Texas Hold’em Poker.
The rules are similar; however, unlike traditional Texas Hold’em, the player competes against the Dealer, who represents the Casino.

To participate, each player must place a wager within the table’s minimum and maximum betting limits.

Bets may be placed on the four betting areas displayed on the gaming layout in front of each player position:

  • Ante
  • Blind
  • Play
  • Trips

To beat the Dealer, the player must form the best possible 5-card poker hand using the two personal cards (“Hole Cards”) and the five shared cards (“Community Cards”).

Likewise, the Dealer will use two personal cards and the five community cards to create the best possible 5-card hand to compete against each individual player.

The valid poker hands are the standard hands used in 52-card Poker:

  • One Pair
  • Two Pair
  • Three of a Kind
  • Straight
  • Flush
  • Full House
  • Four of a Kind
  • Straight Flush
  • Royal Flush

Ante and Blind bets are mandatory.
The Trips bet is optional but must be placed simultaneously with the Ante and Blind bets.

Any Play bet is subject to the strategic rules of the game.

Once all initial bets have been placed, the Dealer will use the automatic shuffler to distribute the five community cards face down on the gaming layout in front of the Dealer’s position.

The Dealer will then distribute two personal cards to each player who has placed the mandatory Ante and Blind bets of equal value.
The final two cards are dealt to the Dealer.

During the course of the hand, the five community cards are revealed in two stages:

  • the first three cards, called the “Flop”;
  • the final two cards, called the “River”.

First Stage

After viewing only their two personal cards (“Hole Cards”), each player may choose between the following options:

  1. declare “Check”, remaining in the game without placing an additional bet;
  2. place a Play bet equal to 3 or 4 times the Ante bet.

Once all player decisions have been completed, the Dealer proceeds to the second stage by revealing the first three community cards (“Flop”).

Second Stage

Any active player who has not yet placed a Play bet may:

  1. declare “Check”, remaining in the game without betting;
  2. place a Play bet equal to 2 times the Ante bet.

At the end of this stage, the Dealer reveals the final two community cards (“River”).

Third Stage

Any active player who has not yet made a final decision may:

  1. place a Play bet equal to the value of the Ante bet;
  2. Fold, forfeiting the Ante and Blind bets.

Any Trips bet remains active until the end of the hand.

After all player bets have been completed, the Dealer reveals their cards.

To qualify, the Dealer must make at least One Pair using the best possible 5-card combination from the 7 available cards (2 personal cards and 5 community cards).

Dealer Does Not Qualify

If the Dealer does not qualify:

  • the Ante bet is returned to all remaining players;
  • winning Play bets are paid even money (1:1);
  • winning Blind and Trips bets are paid according to the applicable payout table.

Dealer Qualifies

If the Dealer qualifies, the Dealer compares their hand with each player’s hand, proceeding from right to left.

When the player’s hand ranks higher than the Dealer’s hand:

  • Ante and Play bets are paid even money (1:1);
  • any winning Blind and Trips bets are paid according to the payout table.

If the player’s hand ranks lower than the Dealer’s hand, the Ante, Play, and Blind bets are collected by the Dealer.

The Trips bet is still paid if the player has at least Three of a Kind, regardless of the final outcome against the Dealer.

In the event of a tie between the Dealer and the player, the Ante, Play, and Blind bets remain the property of the player, who may either collect them or leave them in play.

ANTE

The Ante is a mandatory bet required to participate in the game.

  • Winning Ante bets are paid even money (1:1).
  • Losing Ante bets are collected by the Dealer.
  • In the event of a tie, the Ante bet remains with the player.
  • If the Dealer does not qualify, the Ante bet is returned.

BLIND

The Blind is a mandatory bet equal in value to the Ante bet.

The Blind bet is paid only if the player’s winning hand against the Dealer is at least a Straight.

If the winning hand is lower than a Straight, the Blind bet does not receive a payout but remains with the player.

The Blind bet always loses if the player’s hand ranks lower than the Dealer’s hand.

Blind payouts are regulated by the payout table displayed on the gaming layout.

Blind Payout Table

Hand                        Payout

Royal Flush               500:1

Straight Flush             50:1

Four of a Kind             10:1

Full House                   3:1

Flush                           3:2

Straight                        1:1

PLAY

The Play bet is linked to the Ante bet and may be placed only once, at the player’s discretion, during one of the following three stages:

  1. after receiving the 2 personal cards;
  2. after the Flop;
  3. after the River.

Allowed Bet Values

  • First Stage: 3x or 4x Ante
  • Second Stage: 2x Ante
  • Third Stage: 1x Ante

Winning Play bets are paid even money (1:1); losing bets are collected by the Dealer.

TRIPS

Trips is an optional bonus bet placed at the beginning of the hand simultaneously with the Ante and Blind bets.

The Trips wager is not required to match the value of the Ante bet.

The Trips bet is always paid if the player makes at least Three of a Kind, regardless of whether:

  • the Dealer qualifies;
  • the player wins;
  • the player loses;
  • the hand ends in a tie.

Trips Payout Table

Handy                       Payout

Royal Flush                50:1

Straight Flush             40:1

Four of a Kind              30:1

Full House                    8:1

Straight                         4:1

Three of a Kind             3:1

If the player’s hand is lower than Three of a Kind, the Trips bet is collected by the Dealer.

The game may begin even with only one player at the table.

Once the announcement “Rien ne va plus” has been made, players may not modify either the amount or the type of their bets.

Personal cards may not be shown to other players.
Players are also prohibited from communicating or exchanging information regarding their hands.

Card suits have no value in determining the winning hand.

If the Dealer and the player have the same poker hand ranking, the highest unused card (“Kicker”) is considered.
If the Kicker is also identical, the hand is declared a tie.

If the Dealer accidentally exposes one or more player cards during the deal, those cards remain valid and in play.

In the event of a dealing error or malfunction of the automatic shuffling machine, the entire hand shall be declared void.

Any disputes shall be settled by the final and binding decision of the Gaming Management.
