Casinò di Venezia

Established in 1638, the Casinò di Venezia, is the oldest gaming establishment the world.
From time immemorial it has been an international centre of attraction, now it offers also rooms for French games and tables for American games, as well the most modern of slot machines - perfect for a bit of informal fun.
Today it operates in two venues: at Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, in the historic centre of Venice, alongside the Grand Canal, and at Ca’ Noghera, just a few minutes from Marco Polo Airport.


Who We Are
Casinò di Venezia is one of the four Italian gambling houses operating in accordance with the special regulatory authorization issued for public purposes of special importance. (*)
Public supervision is very strict and targets the assets, management and operational aspects. The City of Venice has been supervising the work of the gambling house Casinò di Venezia through control bodies composed of own officials who regularly work with complex structures and provide ongoing and articulated supervision.
The gambling activities are managed in accordance with strict standards of transparency, fairness and customer protection.


(*) In Italy, the pursuit of gambling is a misdemeanor offence, and, as such, is punishable by law. The prohibition of gambling is subject to specific exceptions permitted by special legislation. The City of Venice has been authorised to exercise gambling by the Royal Decree Law No 1404 of 16 July 1936 "Extension to the City of Venice of the provisions of Royal Decree No 2448 of 22 December 1927 regarding  measures in favour of the City of Sanremo", converted to Law No 62 on 14 January 1937. The City of Venice has entrusted to the company Casinò di Venezia Gioco SpA the management of the Venetian gambling house and retains asset supervision of this company. Asset supervision, together with management supervision, is exercised by the Venice City Council directly, through the appointment of corporate and operating bodies through inspection bodies that supervise the on-going activities.


Ca' Vendramin Calergi - Venice

“A sculpted cloud resting on water”: this is how Gabriele D'Annunzion immortalised Ca' Vendramin Calergi. A perfect example of renaissance style stately home, the dwelling place of the doges and Richard Wagner’s last residence, it is one of the most elegant buildings overlooking Venice’s major waterway, the Grand Canal.


Ca' Noghera - Venezia


Ca’ Noghera is located not far from Marco Polo airport. A modern 5,000 square metre structure with a convenient parking area for lovers of gambling: it offers slot machines, American tables, Texas Hold’em Poker and there’s also Punto Banco, Chemin de Fer and French Roulette.
